Staff BloggerC.A. Casey We love India. It is a land of vivid colors and is seeped in ancient traditions. It's where Siddhattha Gotama sat under a Bodhi tree and gained enlightenment and became the Buddha. Its eastern border is in the Himalayas, and its long history has brought us great religions, philosophies, and food. Hmmm, love Indian food.
It's no surprise that we're drawn to books about India and Indian culture. Here are four books about India and Indians that are so different from each other, that, other than they feature strong female main characters, India is the only common thread. Yet they all capture an aspect of this vast and beautiful country from very different points of view.
