Mia Clayton a resident of Apple Valley, California, founded the nonprofit Mia’s Boxes of Love after she saw a homeless man in 2014 when she was five-years-old. Every October Mia participates in #Socktober to collect pairs of new socks and other donations for the homeless in her community. She hopes to make a difference for children who face homelessness, poverty, and abuse.
