Linda Aronovsky Cox grew up in a military family, living all over the world until graduating from high school in Madrid, Spain. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in communications from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and has lived in Austin, Texas for more than forty years, where she raised her now-grown daughter. Linda spent her career working in public information, marketing communications, and program development in a wide range of fields in the government sector. After a lifetime of writing for organizations, when she retired several years ago, she refocused her creative energies on memoir—personal stories of the myriad life challenges she has faced—and has begun researching and writing the story of her mother who escaped Belgium as a child during the Holocaust. For the past thirty-five years, Linda has also owned and operated a home-based used, rare, and out-of-print book business, Saddlebag Books.
