Rachel Stock Spilker has served as a cantor at Mount Zion Temple in St. Paul, Minnesota since 1997. She was ordained in 1996 from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, where she also received a Master’s Degree in Sacred Music. She is the founder of Maayanot Community Mikveh of Minnesota. She is co-author with Haviva Ner-David of Yonah and the Mikveh Fish, a children's book about the Jewish ritual of immersing in water to mark a transitional or special moment. She also co-authored, with Kerry Olitzky, Miryam's Dance, a children's book about a Ugandan Jewish girl. She is currently working on two more books for children. Spilker is married to Rabbi Adam Stock Spilker, and they have three grown children—Eiden, Mirit, and Liam.
