Esther Rabinowitz and her friends live in a senior community. Esther's grandson's antics in the pool reminds then what it's like to be young and how great it is to wear trendy clothes and have parties. Esther tells them Purim is next week—the perfect holiday for a celebration.

While planning the party, they decide to have a beauty contest, like in the story of Purim. Esther gets her grandkids, Shira and Akiva, to help her pick out what to wear. The day of the party arrives and the beauty contest is ready to begin but Esther is nowhere to be found.
