Welcome to the premiere issue of Khimairal Ink. We envision an innovative vehicle to showcase the writing talents of both promising and established writers.

I'm very pleased with the story selections for this issue. The authors are top-notch and have captured the essence of Khimairal Ink's mission to celebrate strong female ideals along with the feminist spirit.

Accompanying these great stories are the illustrations by Trish Ellis. It's simply amazing to see how she captures the spirit of the words in a single picture. We feel her vision and talent truly enhance the prose.

I hope writers will accept the challenge of the short story form and discover that the Khimairal Ink e-zine is another viable avenue for their writing talents. I look forward to receiving more high quality submissions to fill future quarterly issues.

We feel that writers and artists who contribute to Khimairal Ink should be compensated for their work. All proceeds from advertising go directly to the authors and artists.

To make the e-zine readily available for easier viewing, we are offering it in two formats: a pdf file that can be downloaded or printed, or a Web version.

As one avid reader to another, I hope you enjoy these well-crafted stories and exceptional artwork as much as I have.

See you next issue!

Claudia
