It's spring. The time when people venture out into the world with a sense of positive renewal and hope that it's going to be a good year. For us, that serendipity thing happened again with submissions. All the submissions we received when we were filling the January issue were spec fic and all the submissions we received for this issue were all light and amusing. The gods of the slush pile are taking good care of us.

We like light entertaining stories and would love to see more of them. Unfortunately, like comedy in acting, it's harder to write light and funny than it is to write serious and dark. Some authors just have a knack for seeing the funny side of life and a writing style that has the perfect light touch.

This year is already a good year for Khimairal Ink. We've received enough quality submissions to return to our original four issues a year format. Thank you to everyone who has made Khimairal Ink a great success.

Many of you have asked how you can help keep Khimairal Ink free to readers and help us continue to pay the authors and artists. We've set up a Painless Donation link below and on the Khimairal Ink home page for those of you who want to help us in this labor of love.
